I have over 30 years of experience in both academia and industry, focusing on accounting, finance, and corporate strategy.

My career began with a BA in Accounting & Finance from Ain Shams University (Egypt) followed by an MBA with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and business performance.

I am close to completing my PhD at Newcastle University, where I researched the stigmatisation and destigmatisation of British American Tobacco (BAT) in the 1960s, exploring how BAT adapt to regulatory pressures and public health concerns.

My industry experience, including roles in management at BBOXX Ltd. and Russ Berrie Company, has enriched my teaching and research, allowing me to connect theory with practice.

Moving forward, my goal is to continue contributing to the fields of corporate governance, and business ethics, with a particular focus on how businesses in stigmatised or heavily regulated industries navigate challenges.
